Cristiana and Alessio
A young couple’s greenery wedding in a hamlet
enchanted, located in a fairy-tale valley in Tuscany.
Cristiana and Alessio are two bubbly, modern but also very romantic young people. Given their personalities, there was nothing more appropriate than a wedding that had a palette of bright greens that were enhanced by the additional choice of white flowers. A wedding in perfect greenery style but at the same time refined. Every detail and moment made eternal through Linda Nari’s photography.
The initial idea was for an event that was enhanced in every detail and at the same time informal. For this very reason, the bride opted for an almost bohemian look by choosing a lace and tulle gown with a sensual neckline on her tan back. The hair was gathered in a soft and fluffy braid embellished with floral decorations. In perfect harmony with the chosen mood, the make-up is also natural but with a strong touch on the lips. Impeccable and consistent with the figure of the bride, the look chosen by Alessio characterized by a midnight blue tuxedo enhanced by the vest.
The ceremony
The choice of church could not but fall on Our Lady of Ripaia, a charming, rustic-style structure located on top of a small village called Treggiaia. Cristiana told me that from the first day she saw it as a child, she fell madly in love with it and a dream was born in her that she would be able to celebrate her wedding there, and so she did! For the floral arrangements, made by Elena Mainoldi Floral designer, we thought to bring out the beauty of the Church by decorating the altar and tying bouquets to the pews.
Another strongly greenery detail, the small bags outside the Church with rice inside to throw to the bride and groom also contained olive leaves.
The choice of location and the reception
The bride and groom as the setting of their wedding chose a delightful hamlet hidden in the Pisan hills named Valle di Badia. It is a location that boasts of a rich park with different qualities of flowers and enchanting views. Newly arrived guests were greeted by cool drinks and rich buffets prepared by Aurora Catering and set up under a shaded loggia enriched with rustic elements of the past. The atmosphere was relaxed with excellent background music, and guests, enjoying delicious delicacies, were able to stroll around the large pool, admiring the surrounding natural beauty.
The dinner was set up in the old barns, a charming total white structure with large opening French doors directly overlooking
On the pool. The key element for the set-up was the olive tree; in fact, stone amphorae with lots of branches inside were arranged
On the consoles in the room.
An innovative idea that was appreciated by the bride and groom was to create two different centerpieces but not only that, the tables were also set differently. We left fine white wooden tables without covering them with a tablecloth, leaving their beauty uncovered, and others covered with a white linen blend tablecloth. This stylistic choice gave a truly original touch to the table. Centerpieces, on the other hand, alternated between stone bowls and hand-painted wooden chests. Of course, candles could not be missed, which made the atmosphere even more romantic.
But the details didn’t end there–the bride and groom’s table was lovely, a festoon of green branches covered the outside of the table, candles on the sides, and wooden signs hung on the back side of the bride and groom’s chairs.
Cristiana and Alessio cared deeply about entertaining and entertaining their guests, so during the dinner each guest sang the song named after their table. At the end of the dinner, stars were handed out, also personalized for the event, and friends and family formed a tunnel of stars from which the bride and groom enjoyed passing.
The cutting of the cake and the wedding favors
The couple chose a naked cake for their wedding, one of the trendiest cakes in the wedding world, decorated with olive branches and a wooden topper cake personalized with their initials.
For a wedding greenery and so rich in details, the wedding favor could only be a small olive tree with “Love” written on it.
Is like a precious plant. You can’t just agree to receive it and leave it resting on the cupboard or pretend that it will survive on its own.
You will have to keep watering it. You will really have to take care of it and nurture it.”
